Makar Sankranti - A wish

 "It's a big day for a kind deed. Just take some time out of your busy schedule and give something,"

In a hurry to reach home, I remembered these words again. It's a big day and being a part of this beautiful culture, I must. Meanwhile, my mind was still equipped by the sight of the dog, who was lying dead on the street the other day. 

I loved dogs when I was a child. I remember playing with street dogs back at home except growing up I had a fear of getting bitten by them. 

I reached the shop to buy some jaggery. I want to do something for them, my mind wandered. I stepped out of the shop and on the stairs I found a hungry innocent beast looking at me, expecting. I smiled at him and he looked at me like he knew I understood.

Back at the shop, I paid the shopkeeper for something apart from jaggery. A dog back at home loved this biscuit. I took it out of my bag and this little dog ate it.
